School Meals

Mellors Catering Services provides our school lunches.

Please find belo the 3 week menu which will be in place when the children return after Easter, starting Monday 15th April.

Mellor's will continue to use ParentPay for the payment of school lunches, however there will be some further information sent home with instructions on how to change your child's account from North Tyneside council to Mellor's. We have not yet had this information from Mellor's but will send it as soon as we have received it.

Any medically prescribed or specials diets which were in place with North Tyneside Catering Services will continue with Mellor's. There will be more information regarding those diets sent out soon. Our fantastic kitchen team will be staying with us so they are already aware of your children's requirements and know our pupils very well.

If you have any questions we will strive to answer them, or will pass these along to Mellor's directly if we are not able to answer.

The price of school meals is currently £2.60 per day (increasing to £2.65 in September). If you wish your child to have a school meal you will need to set up a school meal payment account.

If your child is in Reception, Y1 or Y2, they are entitled to Universal Free School Meals, however you still need to register for this. Please contact catering services at the address below for more information.

Nursery children are not eligible for Free School Meals. For 30 hour Nursery children who stay for a school lunch payment is made directly to the school office, via cash or card.

ParentPay Update & Reminder to Parents

Our catering provider uses the ParentPay system for school meal payments. ParentPay is only for children Reception to Year 6 .

The benefits of this are:

Its secure; set up payments online to pay for meals
Peace of mind, manage your account and see when meals have been taken
Low balance alerts and auto top up facility are available
No identification of pupils on free school meals

It is important that you set up your ParentPay account as soon as possible even if your child receives free school meals as the system will be used to communicate important messages about school meals and updates. Please note that during busy periods it can take up to two working days to process your request.
