Spelling
In EYFS and KS1 children practise and learn key spellings (including ‘tricky’ words linked to the sounds they are learning in RWI phonics. Children take home weekly spelling lists for additional practise at home and regular tests take place to support progress.
Following completion of RWI phonics children follow the RWI ‘Get Spelling’ programme which consolidates and builds upon prior learning. This programme includes a mix of interactive resources; individual and partner work with children again having regular spelling homework.
