BDOOSC Aims:
At Benton Dene out of school club we aim to provide:
-
Outstanding childcare for children in an out of school setting. Children can feel at home in a secure environment that is safe, stimulating and friendly, where they can relax and enjoy a variety of activities.
-
We are committed to setting a good example by showing the children and each other respect, kindness and co-operation at all times.
-
We are committed to making sure that all children are treated fairly and equally, providing the same play and learning opportunities for everyone.
-
To provide an interesting and dynamic balance of activities allowing for active play to help in improving your child’s abilities.
General Information:
Benton Dene out of School Club has been operating since 1991.
The Club capacity is for 50+ children, and is open to children of ages 3 - 11 years.
Current Opening hours: Monday to Friday:-
OOSC Breakfast Club: 7.30am - 9.00am
OOSC Out of School Club: 3.15pm - 6.00pm
Holiday Club: 8.00am - 5.00pm (7.30am – 6pm on request)
Children can attend term time from Benton Dene Schools, St. Bartholomews and St. Stephens Primary schools (temporarily BDP only Autumn 2020).
The Club provides a warm, safe environment for the children. It is not meant to be an extension of the school day. We ensure that there are quiet areas for reading and drawing and areas where the children can be active, energetic and creative. The staff participate in the games and activities and supervise as necessary.
During the Holidays we operate a more structured approach. We follow a theme for each week and all activities are based around this. This will include suggestions for themes from both staff and children made during Keyworker meetings. Details of the Holiday activities are available from staff.
